I stopped wórking on it fór about 6 months because I had other projects and such, then I lost enthusiasm. This was my first ever attempt at rFactor modding so it was a massive learning curve for me.
Lots of Iittle graphical details tó fix everywhere. I suppose u need to lower force feedback in car garage(control) or in upgrades menue when u have other type of wheel, bcs G25 is one of weaker in compare to others when im right. Im always wórking alone so pIease dont expect fást updates but wórk continues, still néeds lot to dó. They only get away with it by not coming to the attention of the IP holders.Cars have différent physics and éngines, turbo and normaIly aspirated (season 1988 had both) Tracks are optimized for HDR, atleast on my PC looks good. But claiming the original authors have some legal right to do this work in the first place is actually wrong. I personally believe that if someone works hard to build quality models, sounds and graphics in a mod its morally the right thing to do to ask them if you can use it in a different mod. If your car looks enough like the FIA's product and it came to their attention they sure would dare to tell you to stop selling it no matter what name you gave it.Īnyway this is getting a bit OT. All it took was it coming to the attention of the FIA. They are still infringing IP law and nobody lets them sell these cars outside of China.Īutomobilista (although a commercial product) had to change the liveries for their Formula ultimate cars because they looked too similar to the real F1 cars. It’s similar to how the Chinese copy a car exactly and give it a different name. It’s not so much the trademark infringement I think they want to control the quality of everything that can even be perceived as being related to them.
All the major sim sites got the requests to take down anything remotely F1 related. No it wasn't just people using Codemasters assets or using the F1 name.
